Supplier Management in SAP with Xcitec®

Salzgitter Flachstahl uses Xcitec® Supplier Rating. Based on the evaluation results, Salzgitter Flachstahl identifies optimization measures for further supplier development and uses the results as a decision-making aid for placing projects.

The suppliers with the highest turnover and the greatest strategic importance as well as the suppliers with the highest quality and environmental consciousness are rated. In order to incorporate the unique purchasing elements in different material groups and service areas, specific criteria sets are used for supplier rating.

The Xcitec® software solution was integrated into the SAP Enterprise Portal using SAP NetWeaver™ technology. The software is displayed within the portal using an iView. Salzgitter purchasers can access the Xcitec® software solution with a single sign-on (SSO) via this portal without logging on again. In addition to Xcitec® Supplier Rating, reports from the SAP Business Warehouse are integrated into the portal. The evaluator can access operative key figures for their assessments here.
