Based on the Xcitec® standard software, Vodafone has created a global and comprehensive process consisting of supplier qualification, evaluation and optimization – the Supplier Performance Management (SPM). Vodafone has thereby established a standardized process that transcends cultural and geographic borders. 2,400 users in 18 Vodafone countries The SPM process at Vodafone is based on a scorecard model with six dimensions. In addition to the classical dimensions financial stability, commercial delivery, capability, logistics, quality management and technology portfolio, this model also includes the aspect corporate responsibility. This indicates the high value Vodafone’s purchasing places on corporate responsibility and the importance of supplier quality. Vodafone qualifies, evaluates and develops its suppliers according to the Six Sigma method with the DMAICT process. This way, all three SPM steps are integrated, combined and consistent. |
