Supplier Management at Voith – Capitalizing on Potential

Suppliers significantly contribute to the Voith Group’s success. Therefore, it is especially important to focus on the best suppliers. For this, Voith uses the Xcitec® Supplier Management solution as a company-wide evaluation and management platform. This enables comprehensive supplier management.

Supplier management at Voith is carried out inter-functionally and encompasses purchasing, logistics, engineering and quality management in supplier rating. It also identifies optimization measures.

Suppliers are regularly evaluated according to the quality of the business relationship as well as their performance. In addition, Voith carries out a continuous operative evaluation process based on key figures from the ERP systems, such as logistics measurement (e.g. correct quantity, adherence to delivery deadlines) and quality control (e.g. errors). If a supplier rating exceeds a defined threshold value, an escalation process is triggered and improvement measures are defined.
