Another Award for Vodafone’s
Supplier Performance Management (03/15/2007)

Vodafone was honored with the ACCA UK Award 2006 for the Vodafone Corporate Responsibility Report and its ecological, economic and social responsibility activities.

The jury particualarly commended Vodafone’s consistent supplier performance management methods:
Vodafone’s CR report “gives a good account of the group’s supply chain management, outlining its ‘six pillars of supplier performance management’, which involves a risk based approach to prioritise supplier assessments and site visits”.

Vodafone utilizes the Xcitec® software solutions for supplier qualification, supplier rating and supplier development in its supplier performance management. Suppliers are qualified, evaluated and further developed in a comprehensive process based on six criteria sets („six pillars“).

This process chain ensures integrated supplier management and enables Vodafone to select the right suppliers, increase supplier performance and continuosly develop its suppliers. This way, the Number 1 mobile operator profits from professional and sustainable supplier performance management.
