Xcitec® supports SAP NetWeaver (10/18/2007)

Xcitec® integrates its strategic supplier management standard software into SAP NetWeaver. Xcitec® customers can thereby implement their IT strategies while profiting from a mature specialist solution for strategic supplier management.

The integration of Xcitec® standard software into SAP NetWeaver supports various SAP components.

Xcitec® software is integrated into the SAP EP (Enterprise Portal) user interface using iView with support from SAP Logon Tickets. The portal’s integration capacity enables seamless access to Xcitec® Supplier Management as well as the incorporation and use of other purchasing systems. The purchaser verifies his privileges for the portal only once using the Single-Sign-On function. Role and rights management ensure that users only have acess to the applications and data for which they have been cleared.

The following components are also supported through the integration into SAP NetWeaver: SAP XI (Exchange Infrastructure) secures an easy connection to source and target data systems. SAP BW (Business Warehouse) enables additional analytics. SAP WAS (Web Application Server) provides the application server for Xcitec® standard software.

Xcitec® customers, such as HUGO BOSS, MVV Energie and Salzgitter Flachstahl already use SAP NetWeaver integration and utilize the Xcitec® solution as the best-of-breed supplier management solution.
