Xcitec® looks back at a flourishing first half of 2008: further customer base expansion, 30% market share among DAX-listed companies, a successful e_procure & supply as well as new and innovative purchasing solutions.
Xcitec® further expands its customer base: companies such as swb - one of Germany’s oldest public works - cablecom, Switzerland’s largest cable network company and the pharmaceutical company Merck have chosen an Xcitec® solution.
With Merck, Xcitec® acquired another company from the DAX30, thereby attaining a market share of 30% among DAX-listed companies.
The e_procure & supply trade fair was an especial success, with a 50% increase in new contacts compared with the previous year. Xcitec® convinced customers with its seasoned solutions for supplier management and set new courses for material group management, master data management and purchasing controlling.
The complete integration of E-Sourcing in the Xcitec® standard software also offers customers further advantages, since a uniform and central user interface for all strategic and tactical purchasing activities is now available to them. Information from tender offers and auctions can also be directly obtained from Supplier Management. Users can also select suppliers directly from Supplier Management for E-Sourcing processes. The selection criteria’s high degree of transparency ensures that the best and most suitable suppliers are chosen.
