Xcitec® successfully finished 2009 and, despite the difficult economic situation, was able to continue its consistent growth pattern. In addition, Xcitec® celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2009, meaning that Xcitec® has been a healthy and profitable company for 10 years, with 100 employees, 40% market share among companies listed on the DAX and more than 100,000 users worldwide.
Both business with new and with existing customers enabled Xcitec® to continue its 10-year growth in 2009 as well. New Xcitec® customers include DVV (Duisburg Public Works and Transportation Company), Kraftanlagen München, JTI (Japan Tobacco International) and Stadtwerke München (Munich City Utilities).
Xcitec® invests in the expansion of its product portfolio as well as in the further development of its standard software and gears these activities towards the latest trends. The new Purchasing Controlling solution documents the value added by purchasing, thereby strengthening the important position of purchasing within a company. The Risk Management solution enables the early identification of risks and counteractive measures in risk situations, which, due to the massive transfer of value creation to suppliers, is essential for companies‘ viability.
Industry experts have already recognized Xcitec® for its Risk Management solution: for the third time in a row, Xcitec® was named among the 100 most innovative solution providers worldwide by the jury of the international U.S. magazine “Supply & Demand Chain Executive.”
