The Federal Association for Materials Administration, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) is the leading professional association for purchasing and logistics in Germany. This association was founded with the goals of competently addressing material administration issues, offering an extensive education and continuing education system and providing a platform for members to exchange contacts and experiences.
With ca. 6,000 members, this association represents more than 80% of the entire German industrial purchasing volume.
As part of the cooperation with BME, Xcitec® and Professer Zeuch (Technical College Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Academic Area: Supply Chain Management) have developed a standardized criteria set and procedural model for supplier rating. This enables quick rating solution integration and start-up for our customers.
As an Xcitec® marketing partner, BME supports the Xcitec® positioning on the market. Xcitec® is a partner and sponsor of the “Purchasing and Logistics Symposium” and of the new event “eSolution Days”. Xcitec® offers information about the current trends and latest developments in supplier relationship management (SRM) and strategic supplier management in presentations and workshops.
D&B Germany (formerly Dun & Bradstreet) is a Bisnode Group company and a member of the worldwide D&B network, the global leader in economic information and company rating. Companies from all sectors use the data and solutions from D&B Germany for credit assessments, customer acquisition and strategic purchasing.
The basis for these activities is the D&B databank with information about over 3-5 million German companies and more than 110 million companies worldwide. Companies’ payment history is also included in the D&B credit assessment. D&B evaluates around 400 million invoices annually in Germany alone.

Selected D&B information products (e.g. Worldbase 1784, FamilyTree, D-U-N-S® Number, Risk Information, Reports) are integrated into Xcitec® standard software. Furthermore, the supplier core data from different ERP systems is referenced by matching the respective D-U-N-S® numbers.
In the Xcitec® standard software, both flat files in a batch procedure as well as the data integration toolkit (DIT) for on-demand queries are used for data management. Standardized interfaces and practically proven procedural modules ensure a seamless connection to value-added information from D&B.
Siemens AG, Siemens Business Services (SBS) and Xcitec GmbH have concluded a partnership agreement regarding the joint marketing of the Xcitec® standard software. Xcitec® provides the technology for the software solution. Siemens markets the Xcitec® solution under the name “Siemens SRM-powered by Xcitec®.”
Siemens Business Services (SBS) offers value-added services such as international roll-out, worldwide 1st level support and SAP backend integration. When offering these services, Siemens draws on its extensive experiences with the Xcitec® software solution “click4suppliers” which is used throughout the entire Siemens group.
Technical Project Partnerships:
Together with our partners, we carry out technical system integration and complete process integration. The project-specific Xcitec® standard software integration with Portum, autinform or Allocation Network provides our customers with a complete solution - ranging from e-sourcing to strategic supplier management.
Xcitec® standard software supports SAP NetWeaver architecture. This means minimal time and effort and a high degree of standardization during integration into SAP.
As a general contractor, we offer our customers comprehensive software solutions for purchasing.
